Margaret was born on 12 October 1807 in Hollowforth, Woodplumpton, Lancashire to Richard Threlfall and Margaret (nee Fisher). She was baptised at St Michael-on-Wyre in Lancashire on 5 November 1807. The baptismal register shows that Richard was a tanner from Eaves, a small hamlet not far from Woodplumpton.

Margaret married Benjamin Randall Vickers on 27 October 1836 at Bingley Parish Church in Yorkshire and they had the following children:

Margaret died on 2 February 1871 aged 63 and was buried in the churchyard at St Matthew’s on 6 February.
