Harriet Bean was born on 19 March 1853 to Charles Bean and Ann (nee Nettleton). She was baptised on 3 August 1856 at St Matthew’s Church in Chapel Allerton at the same time as her younger brother, Thomas. The parish register shows that her father worked as a butcher.
The 1861 Census records that the family were living on Old High Road in Chapel Allerton. Harriet was 8 years old and at school.
Harriet died on 9 October 1869 and was buried in the churchyard of St Matthew’s Church on 11 October.
