Brown Boggett was born in Rothwell Haigh in 1849 to Thomas Boggett and Ann (nee Brown). He was baptised on 8 April 1849 at Holy Trinity Church in Rothwell, the register shows that his father was a labourer.
The 1851 Census shows Brown living at Bell Hill in Rothwell Haigh with his parents and older brother Francis. His father was an agricultural labourer (Ag.Lab.)
At the time of 1861 Census the family had moved to Allerton Grange. Brown was a 12 year old scholar, his father, mother and older brother (aged 15) were all described as agricultural labourers.
Brown died on 24 April 1869 and was buried in the graveyard at St Matthew’s in Chapel Allerton on 27 April.
