Anne Williams Brown was born on 26 Aug 1813, daughter of William Williams Brown and Margaret (nee Duncan). She was christened on 31 October 1813 at Salem Chapel on Hunslet Lane.

Anne married Thomas Benyon on 16 July 1835 and they had the following children:

  • Thomas (1840- )
  • Mary M (1841- )
  • William Henry (1842- )
  • Joseph S (1844- )

The 1841 census shows Thomas and Anne with their first four children and 12 servants living at Gledhow Hall.

At the time of the 1851 Census the family were living in their home at Gledhow Hall.

Anne died on 18 December 1852 and is remembered on the gravestone in St Matthew’s churchyard.
