Marmaduke Prince was born on 17 September 1774, the son of Matthew Prince and Mary (nee Mitchell). He was baptised at St Matthew’s Church on 23 October 1774. The register says that the family were living at Woodside.

There is a record of a Marmaduke Prince marrying Ann Crosfield on 21 December 1794 at St Peter’s Church, Leeds. Unfortunately I am unable to read the details on the register. It looks as if Ann already had a child:

Marmaduke and Ann appear to have had the following children:

Marmaduke died on 23 August 1839 in Meanwood and was buried in the St Matthew’s churchyard on 26 August 1839.
