Sarah Whitaker was born on 5 November 1799, the daughter of William Whitaker and Eleanor (nee Skelton). She was baptised at St Peter’s Church in Leeds on 2 December 1799 the records of which say that the family lived at Water Lodge in Leeds.
Sarah married Thomas England on 21 February 1822 at St Peter’s. Thomas was a Corn Factor.
Sarah died on 4 January 1828 aged 29 years old and is buried in St Matthew’s graveyard.
